Nexo Knights is an animated television series that debuted in 2015. It is based on the Lego theme of the same name. In a medieval yet futuristic world, Clay, Aaron, Lance, Princess Macy, and Axl are five young knights who protect the kingdom of Knighton and its capital Knightonia from Jestro, the Book of Monsters, and their army of Lava Monsters. The Lego Group is actively promoting the characters of the Nexo Knights series through activations of any kind.
Serviceplan Experience received the brief to apply the latest Nexo Knights storyline within a 10 day live activation to create an interaction between the brand and children.
Serviceplan Experience created a mall activation concept with a comprehensive consumer journey. The activation area included two zones: an active zone and a retail zone utilizing the Nexo Knights franchise assets.
For the active zone we created an interaction between the brand and the children. The children were asked to choose a team and compete in the challenges: attendees needed to decide between the Hero and Villain side to follow Clay or Jestro into the Lava Lands, collecting the shields as they go to determine a winner.
Digital VR Stations and a character meet and greet brought the fantasy to life. Additionally we received passive engagement through video screening of the Nexo Knight series.
The Mall activation and retail experience for Lego’s Nexo Knight was well received by children and buyers.
