Martin Zolles joined Serviceplan Group Middle East as Head of Digital Operations

Full-service communications agency Serviceplan Group Middle East (SPME), the Dubai-based branch of Germany’s Serviceplan Group, announced that Martin Zolles has been newly appointed as the region’s Head of Digital Operations (HOD).

Zolles has 12 years of industry experience, with proficiency in digital marketing, social media, digital transformation, multi-channel campaigning, digital brand building, and brand activation. He has been responsible for an extensive range of campaigns, with notable clients including Heineken, UNO, the Green Party in the European Parliament, and Motorola, where he acted as Digital Lead in Germany and some European key markets . Reflecting on his new role within SPME, Zolles commented:

“I am thrilled to be joining a team that is so relentlessly driven by passion, talent and expertise.

Together, we’ll shape and improve all digital services and products coming out of Serviceplan HQ here in Dubai.”

Zolles has been with the Serviceplan Group since 2018, and is moving from his previous role of Digital Strategy lead in Vienna. He has also recently completed a doctoral degree in Communications and Media from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and in his new role, he will be responsible for the Digital and Social Media department at Serviceplan Group Middle East.

The primary focus of the HOD role is on Plan.Net, part of the wider Serviceplan Group. For Zolles, key focal points will be strengthening Plan.Net’s digital and tech offerings, and providing clients with optimal solutions to support their businesses. The role is part of the Group’s broader vision to enhance the global Plan.Net brand; the agency is going far beyond simply campaigning, and will offer clients strategic consultation on a business level.

Zolles offered his insight into his move from Vienna and the future of digital campaigning in the region:

“As digital culture is constantly evolving, I wanted to put myself in a place where – from a cultural perspective – diversity and change are so tangible as well. I’m looking forward to new things not only being tried out but carried out. Digital marketing will keep updating us with the latest trends in efficiency, creativity, and technical feasibility. Every player in the market will increase their efforts to adapt to the latest standards and set new benchmarks."

The announcement of the new role was made by Natalie Shardan, General Manager of Serviceplan and Plan.Net Middle East, who said:

“I’m very pleased that Martin has joined us from Serviceplan Vienna. His experience in digital campaigning, tech, UX and eCRM will reinforce Plan.Net’s expertise and strengthen the digital consultancy offering for our clients.
